SmartTasteIt is committed to protecting your privacy.

Information we collect:

Email address (for authentication)
Basic user profile information
Usage data to improve the app experience

How we use information:

To provide and improve the service
To personalize user experience
To communicate important updates

We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention:

We retain your personal data for as long as your SmartTasteIt account is active and you use the app. This includes your profile, food preferences, meal plans, feedback, and other data linked to your account.

Account and profile data: kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove this data within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
Usage and support data: kept only as long as needed to operate the service, resolve issues, or improve the app, and then deleted or anonymized.
Subscription and billing records: may be kept for up to 7 years where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Security and audit logs: may be kept for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize the data using reasonable technical measures.

How to delete your data:

You can request deletion of your SmartTasteIt account and associated personal data at any time.

From the SmartTasteIt app, open Settings → Report issue or feedback, choose Report, and request account deletion in your message (use the email linked to your SmartTasteIt account).

After we verify your request, we delete your account and associated personal data (profile, preferences, menus, feedback, and other app data tied to your account), unless a longer retention period is required by law or for security, fraud prevention, or billing compliance as described above.

You can also export a copy of your data from the app (Settings → Export my data) before requesting deletion.

Third-party services:

SmartTasteIt may use third-party services such as Firebase for authentication and analytics.

Data security:

We take reasonable measures to protect your information.
